Flavors for the food industry
For intense, unique taste experiences
Only high-quality flavors
Our in-house flavors are tailored specifically to the needs and goals of our customers, who primarily operate in the beverage and food industry. We also meet our high quality standards by addressing our customers’ requirements regarding allergen management as well as halal- and kosher-certified ingredients and by producing exclusively through certified manufacturing processes that are comprehensively documented.
All production is always fresh and made-to-order, so our flavors are never “off the shelf.” This results in unique flavors that are available in either liquid or dry form. This ensures that every order is shipped with a full best-by date and from a single batch. In this context, we also take our customers’ container and packaging preferences into account, even for relatively small purchase quantities starting at 10 kg.
Flavoring Declaration and Labeling in Foods
Flavoring: If the ingredient list simply says “flavoring,” it means the flavoring was produced synthetically. This means it was created in a laboratory and may be a mixture of chemical compounds designed to produce a specific taste. However, you won’t find out exactly which substances the flavoring consists of.
Natural Flavor: If the packaging says “Natural Flavor,” it means that the flavor comes mainly from natural sources, such as fruits, spices, or other edible substances. At least 95 percent of the flavor must come from the specified natural source. The remaining 5 percent may also be of natural origin, but may only be used to enhance the flavor without distorting the main flavor.
Natural X Flavor: If the packaging says “Natural X Flavor” (for example, “Natural Strawberry Flavor”), this means that the flavor comes from various natural sources, but not necessarily primarily from the source mentioned. For example, a “Natural Strawberry Flavor” could also come from other fruits, as long as the strawberry flavor predominates. There is no minimum requirement for the percentage of the main source, but it must reflect the perceived taste of the flavor.
When it comes to labeling, we also offer our customers the full range of options. Starting with “flavor,” which corresponds to the former “nature-identical” designation, then “natural flavor,” and finally “natural ‘X’ flavor”—for example, in the case of strawberry, “natural strawberry flavor.”
Ideally, your inquiries should include the following information so that we can process them quickly and efficiently: Aroma type, Desired labeling, Intended use (heating?), Liquid or dry, Sample quantity, and the Required quantity.
